I have not blogged for a few days; but I have not felt that I really had anything worth saying. I would rather let a few days go by than post just to fulfill some self imposed need. No journey is a constant state; they all contain stops and restarts. It's not the finish, it's the travel through life.
The pace of the project that I am working on is starting to pick up. We are currently working on a proof of concept application. We will be meeting with the non-technical side of the project team and want to show them the direction we are planning. I will be traveling all next week to my corporate headquarters to meet with the rest of the team. I do not enjoy traveling for work. I am very lucky and don't go very often. That subject deserves a blog of it's own. I am sure it will be front page news here next week. By Wednesday I will be feeling the effects. Maybe blogging will help me deal with it.
I am really enjoying the technical aspects of the project. We decided today that the web application portion of the project will be done in C#. I am not as comfortable with C# as I am with VB.NET but it will give me a great chance to build that skill set. The other two primary technologies that we will be using (InfoPath and SQL Reporting Services) are new so I can be in on the beginning of both. Just where I like to be. I want to stay employed and that will mean that I need to keep learning and expanding my skills.
